  • Improvement: Targeted Actions are now systematically given priority over Synchronization Rules. They can be used together, but Synchronization Rules that conflict or duplicate Targeted Actions are not applicable.

ByteSync version 2023.1.4 – February 1, 2023

  • Breaking change: Session Profiles created with previous versions of ByteSync can no longer be loaded. They must be removed and new ones created to replace them.
  • Breaking change: Application logs are now stored in a subdirectory of the AppData directory.
  • Improvement: When creating a new Session Profile, the names of existing profiles are available to help the user choose a new profile name.
  • Improvement: When creating a Session Profile, a confirmation prompt is displayed if the name of the new profile is already used by another profile.
  • Improvement: Synchronization Rules and Targeted Actions are logged at the beginning of the Data Synchronization.
  • Fixed: Fix links generated for opening release notes.

  • New: A new display block, named Uploaded Data, appears in the Account details panel. It represents the amount of data uploaded during Cloud Sessions in graphical form, with a monthly breakdown.
  • New: Added a button to import Synchronization Rules from an existing Session Profile.
  • New: Added a button to duplicate an existing Synchronization Rule.
  • New: Added a button to reverse the Source and Destination in the condition or in the action of a Synchronization Rule or Targeted Action.
  • Improvement: Significant overall improvement in Cloud Session synchronization performance. A buffer system has been implemented to speed up the synchronization of small files and the transfer of progress information between clients.
  • Improvement: Improved the data presented in theData Inventory tracking panel.
