ByteSync version 2022.3.1 – December 12, 2022

  • New: It is now possible to save Session Profiles for Cloud Sessions and Local Sessions. Session Profiles allow you to start a session using predefined settings: Session Settings, Session Members, Synchronization Rules.
    When running a Cloud Session Profile, a Lobby is created to wait for all participants to connect before the Cloud Session starts.
  • New: Cloud Sessions can now only be held between Trusted Clients, identified by the Public Key of their Asymmetric Key Pair and authenticated by a digital signature that is systematically checked when connecting to a Cloud Session or Cloud Session Lobby.
    A simplified and secure protocol allows customers to recognize each other as Trusted Clients.
  • Improvement: A dedicated control has been added to enable or disable the application’s Dark Mode.
  • Improvement: The improvement of the colors and the contrast of the themes is in progress. Some themes have been temporarily removed and will be reinstated once this step is completed.
  • Improvement: When restarting a session, the previously defined Synchronization Rules are kept. They can be modified or deleted freely.
  • Fixed: The Status of directories could be displayed incompletely.
