ByteSync runs on 64-bit versions of the following operating systems:
- Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 & Windows 11
- Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2019 & Windows Server 2022
- Linux Debian 9+
- Linux Ubuntu 16.04+
- Fedora 33+ Linux
- macOS 10.15+
ByteSync does not work on 32-bit operating systems, Android and iOS mobile operating systems, and is not available as a dedicated application for NAS.
Internet access
ByteSync uses cloud services that are accessible via HTTPS outbound connections on port 443. The following domains must be allowed for outbound traffic:

- https://powbytesyncupdates.blob.core.windows.net/
